Africa Mobilizes Ahead of 28th UPU Congress

In preparation for the event to be held in Dubai from 8–18 September 2025, PAPU successfully held two landmark Coordination Meetings on 19 and 28 August 2025 that went beyond routine consultations — they were strategic huddles where our leadership sharpened its collective voice and forged a united front on critical issues that will shape the future of global postal services, namely: amendments to the UPU Acts, Dubai World Postal Strategy, Remuneration, Regionalization, Africa’s representatives to the CA and POC, and election of the DG and DDG. The meetings witnessed massive participation and commendable leadership of designated lead countries, who gave strategic guidance on every substantive matter. The stage is now set for Africa to speak with one voice, negotiate with one mind and shape the global postal agenda in Dubai. “When Africa coordinates, Africa leads.”
